Acupuncture Continue Education Classes

Our center will regularly offer five types of Acupuncture continue education courses. They are:

1. Gynecology specialty training for Acupuncturists
2. Neurology specialty training including pain control for Acupuncturists
3. Acupuncture and Herbology training for all medical professionals such as Medical Doctors, Dentists, Pharmacists, Nurses, and Physician Assistants.
4. Formula construction (How to Write an Herbal Formula)
5. Advanced formula construction

These five Acupuncture Continue Education Course progrmas will begin in October 2007 and end in September 2008. These lectures do not have to be taken in sequence, you can take any that interests you or need units in. These Acupuncture CEU courses are CA Acupuncture Board approved. The lecturers will be Dr. Qiwei Zheng and Dr. Meredith Chunyi Qian.

All Acupuncture CEU lectures will discuss Gynecology and Neurology disorders from both the TCM and Western Medicine perspectives. The lecturers will incorporate their great clinical knowledge and profound experience into these continue education and specialty education courses.

The Gynecology specialty training will focus on Reproductive Wellness and Women's Health. The Gynecology specialty training course is a very potent course in dealing with infertility. This training is guaranteed to significantly increase your Eastern and Western clinical knowledge. The last module of the course will also include an optional study abroad program in China.

The lectures will be held on the weekday evenings and weekends in Beverly Hills.

This CEU course will introduce etiology, pathology, symptoms, and signs of Alzheimer’s Disease, and Non-Alzheimer’s Dementias (Vascular Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease with Dementia, Huntingtons’s Disease with Dementia, Frontal Lobe Dementia Syndromes, and AIDS Dementia). The diseases are discussed from both biomedical and Chinese Medicine perspectives, including clinical research that emphasizes a multi-faceted approach to comprehensive treatments such as herbs, acupuncture, moxibustion, and Chinese herbal nutrition etc. The knowledge presented in the course will allow the Acupuncture practitioner not only to understand the diseases but also to identify the clinic manifestations of these diseases early and effectively in order to have close cooperation with Neurology specialists to provide the best treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease and Non-Alzheimer’s Dementia in order to improve the quality of life of patients.

As we know, Acupuncture and Herbs has gained acceptance with the American populace, the Acupuncture practice spectrum has become broader. This CEU course will continue to introduce advanced pharmacological studies of commonly used Chinese herbs at different category. This topic provides pharmacological researches about different category Chinese herbs’ toxicology and side-effects. This lecture will cover the traditional Chinese herbal functions, pharmacological effects of herbs, clinical herbal combinations, and Herb-Drug interactions. The knowledge discussed in this course will allow the Acupuncture practitioner not only to understand the traditional herbal functions but also to identify pharmacological effects of herbs, clinical herbal combinations, herbal toxicology, herbal side-effects, and Herb-Drug interactions. Advanced Specialty Training in Beijing

In March 2009, Beverly Hills Acupuncture & Herbology Training center is proud to offer a specialty training opportunity at the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, China. Acupuncturists or Students who had participated in our center’s CEU courses are able to participate in two weeks of intensive training in Integrative Medicine of Gynecology, Neurology, Orthopedics, and Pain Control at major hospitals in Beijing, China.

This intensive and exciting overseas training program will provide participants hands on experience in the Gynecology, Neurology, and Orthopedics Hospitals in Beijing by practicing Acupuncture, Herbal Prescriptions, TuiNa, etc. All of these valuable experiences will undoubtedly benefit your own practice here in the States.

Upon successful completion of the training program, participants will receive a certificate of completion from the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing, China.

Travel accommodations will be taken care of by our center. You will be housed in four star hotels and have many opportunities for sightseeing, climbing the Great Wall of China, seeing the Beijing Opera, traveling around Beijing, and experiencing life in China.

The fee of this program will fluctuate with airline, hotel, and tuition prices.
